Thanks for stopping by today!
I’m Rachael Rebecca Rennard. It’s a bit unfortunate that the love of my life had a last name ending with R. I tend to take myself too seriously, so maybe it was God’s way of getting me to lighten up!
(This is me trying not to take myself too seriously)
I met my husband in 5th grade home room and we have barely been separated since. A few hiccups along the way have reinforced just how much I want him to be my partner in life.
(We were babies, only 19. Can you tell?)
We raise two girls, one smart, driven and outgoing… the other shy, adorable and affectionate. The little one is Isabel. The bigger one is Ava.
We are part of a fantastic community called Gathering in suburban Indianapolis. We live life together and adhere to the Acts 2:42 plan, learning about God and discipleship, eating and praying along the way. We find ourselves here after six years of work in Cuba. Our hearts are divided between two countries and callings, but unified in Christ Jesus and his purpose.
When I’m not eating with Gathering, parenting two beautiful girls or traveling, you will find me shopping at Goodwill, reading a book, taking a long walk, cooking, reading my favorite blogs, organizing my house or building my friendships with some of the best people on the planet.
I blog because I have always communicated better in writing, and my life circumstances the past few years have left me with lots to say. Hang in there with me while I explore concepts of community, purpose, parenting, relationships, scripture and anything else that is on my heart. I promise to be myself and I hope you like me as much as I know I would like you!
We’re on a journey, a kingdom journey. Let’s walk that path together.
